Fishing
Reserve one of four scenic fishing spots along the bank of the Ronan Erasmus dam. Spend the day quietly fishing for species like yellowfish, bass, or carp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Please bring your own chairs, fishing rod, food and drink and braai utensils. Once mòs coffee shop is up and running, you will be able to order a packed lunch or picnic meal from them.
Rate: R500 per day

Horse Riding
Experience the natural beauty of Die Bosveld with our guided horseback safaris. It is a unique opportunity to get up close to our roaming game, including Impala, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, and Blesbuck. To ensure the safety of all guests and the well-being of our animals, our standard outrides move at a peaceful walking pace, allowing you to fully soak in the scenery.

Host your next gathering in the serene embrace of nature at our charming Grass Boma Venue. Nestled under the canopy of majestic trees, this setting can comfortably accommodate up to 80 people. With its built-in braai facility and traditional boma, you’ll find the perfect ambience for a memorable day.
Picnics
We offer a range of four enchanting picnic spots that will leave you mesmerised. Relax after a nice run, hike or ride at any one of our four designated picnic spots. Bring your own picnic basket, or arrange a packed lunch with KoffieBos, the coffee shop on site.
Phone ahead, and Koffiebos will have your picnic lunch ready and delivered to your picnic spot.

Birding
Birdwatchers, bring your binoculars! The bird life at Die Bosveld is diverse and abundant. With a large portion declared a sensitive wetland area, especially in summer, the variety of water birds is staggering. The Visarend hiking trail is the ideal route to walk if you wish to do a spot of birdspotting. Or, pick a spot next to the Ronan Erasmus dam, and see how many species you can tick off your birding list.
Can you spot the resident fish eagle or the pair of nesting owls in the old tobacco silos?
Coffee Shop
Regroup and catch your breath. Our coffee shop, KoffieBos, at the trail centre offers great coffee and refreshments. Relax under the cool canopy of towering trees to recentre, reboot and reset, before heading out again.
